From the producer to the end user

In the future, additional ear tags will be used for animal-individual identification. This ensures transparency across the value chain with respect to the health and possible treatment of individual pigs.

We want to ensure transparency. It is important to monitor the entire value chain. That is why we maintain regular contact with piglet providers, veterinarians, the feed industry, the slaughterhouse, and scientists around the world. We also strive to maintain open communication with the food retailing industry.

We are interested in current questions concerning livestock and animal husbandry. The Bünne Swine Center offers students of agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine the opportunity of writing their final theses with us.
